The Petrus 1972 is light ruby in color with rich chocolate notes. It has a really deep and sensual scent to it. Perfumed and heady to the max. Sweet and light in body. Petrus in the form of an aperitif! (Canapés are served on the patio.) Clean. Even if it’s a touch dried out and not really fresh in the end, it’s a great start. Finish is little dusty and worn. However, a wine with a delightfully rich first effect on the way down
