According to the Wine Spectator: “Aromas of eucalyptus, mint and leather. The complex cherry, earth and plum flavors are supported by a full-bodied, fairly tannic structure that turns dry on the finish.” (11/86)
According to Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The sweet, jammy nose exhibits a distinctive floral, truffle, black cherry, earthy, smoky personality that soars from the glass. In the mouth, the wine’s acidity and tannin are beginning to poke their way through the wine’s flesh.
